I hope you will join me at the Yoga Journal Conference: New York, May 12-16, 2011, at the Hilton New York.
Lead the Change: Women, Leadership, and the Future
Seane Corn, Elena Brower, Kathryn Budig and I will lead an asana practice, followed by a conversation exploring how intuition, confidence, and the willingness to embrace the truth empowers us as individuals.
During the lunch break, we'll hear from keynote speaker Christy Turlington Burns--supermodel, film director, mother, and founder of the nonprofit Every Mother Counts--on yoga, self-empowerment, and women. A panel discussion follows, with three powerful women, inspired by their practice, who have made a better world: Seane Corn (Off the Mat into the World), Paige Elenson (Africa Yoga Project), and Nikki Myers (Yoga of 12-Step Recovery). The afternoon includes another asana session plus conversation and writing exercises that explore how to lead the change you want to see in the world. Yoga Journal Editor in Chief Kaitlin Quistgaard will host the day.
50% of the proceeds for this workshop will be divided among these four charities:
Additionally, the New York conference will feature 50+ world renowned yoga teachers, 100+ classes,
best selling author Michael Pollan of Food Rules and The Omnivore's Dilemma, panels, demos, music, meditations, the Yoga Marketplace and more!
I look forward to seeing you at the conference.
Namaste,
Faith
